XML Sitemap Generator v2.6
That sucks…
I know. That is why I have enabled only products, kb categories and kb articles in sitemap.

the sitemap is working fine for me here, I have the exact same script you guys have, if it’s not working on your site, oh well…

Post is moved.

Based on our (not only me) incorrect results, any idea how to fix this?

http://www.truebalticamber.com/necklaces.html does not exist, where sitemap generator getting it from?

Correct path

http://www.truebalticamber.com/necklaces/

necklaces.html would give 404, google has already indexed it, so I created 301 redirect.

How can it work correctly on your site?

I will repeat myself. I know it is a free mod.

However it is located in addon pack 1 that I did donated in amount I was asked. KB + sitemap generator supporting KB.
Cutting and pasting?

my categories look like

domain.com/category/subcategory/

in sitemap this is presented as

domain.com/category/subcategory.html

or

domain.com/subcategory.html

cant remember now
Hi Cutting and pasting!!!

If I go to the Generated Sitemap and cut/copy any of the paths/URLS and paste into URL Bar I get the exact page (Product or Category) that I expect to get.

So in short it works for me.

SORRY NOT QUITE CORRECT!!

Have only got products listing now as I was getting this

mydomain.co.uk - mydomain Resources and Information. (fine)

mydomain.co.uk - mydomain Resources and Information. (fine too)

mydomain.co.uk - mydomain Resources and Information. (OOPS) instead of…

mydomain.co.uk - mydomain Resources and Information.

Sorry for misleading I just didn’t see them!

You were misleading google bot, supplying non existing links.

Can you access

mydomain.co.uk - mydomain Resources and Information.

as

mydomain.co.uk - mydomain Resources and Information.

?

Hi Darius

In short NO!

Have only got products listing now and have re-submitted to google!

Apparently easier way, set the cs-cart category with html type category .
i found an error

maybe try httpdocs with 777

This sitemap although basic setup is good . The rest is unfortunately buggy for the means of the seo setup rules of cs-cart and I have decided to remove it for now.

Product/page SEF URL format: Accepts only “product_name.html”

categories SEF URL: Accept Only html

Show language in the URL: Does not accept

Act as HTML catalog: Does not accept

the sitemap has been updated to v2.7, all bugs mentioned above have been fixed, the print to file feature has been removed as this was the root cause of the issues, the zip has been updated in the first post and also on snorocket.com, please install, let us know the results, Thanks - Sno

You removed the generation of the sitemap.xml file?

Not sure I understand how taking the same output and putting it to a file instead of the user’s screen can be the source of all problems.

The whole goal of generating a sitemap.xml file was to allow Google and other search engines to more effeciently crawl your site. Having to remember to go to Google and cut/paste after any update is a waste of time.

Guess I’ll just merge your “fixes” into the version I have on hand so that it works like a real sitemap generator…

tony

Hey Tony, if you can fix it that would be great, if not this one is working fine, the problem was category urls like:

http://www.mysite.com/company/

were being written as:

http://www.mysite.com/company.html

and then I got 300+ PM’s about the category not being in the url anymore, search engines can find your site as long as you have the sitemap url in your robots.txt file and once you set the link in google you don’t ever have to change it again…

So will the sitemap.xml file get updated automatically in the new version?

Add this

RewriteRule ^sitemap.xml$ index.php?dispatch=xml_sitemap [L]

to .htaccess below RewriteEngine on

sitemap will be accesable as

domain.com/sitemap.xml

instead of

Domain.com
