First and Last Name Checkout

I’m not sure whose idea it was to combine the first and last name in the checkout but it was a horrible idea.

At first, I had customers placing orders and only entering their first name and in some instances, no name at all even though all settings were checked for it being required. So I then added the customer name field along with the shipping name field. I haven’t had anymore customers checking out with no name but now they are adding their first name in the customer field and their last name in the shipping field.

Please separate the first and last name fields like it used to be.

Agreed, i think its poor when i come across it on other sites too

Thanks ecom. After reading the post, I remember reading it but it didn’t concern me because I was still on an older version.

CSC should still fix it though. Going to try and find the bug report that was supposedly posted.

Edit: No bug report found because it was before the new forum. :frowning:

Strange, mine is seperate and has always been. I started on 4.12 I think so maybe it only impacted older versions?
