Firefox 3.5 issue?

If you go into any of the categories at my site in Firefox 3.5. It will not go past page 2 this seems to be a Firefox 3.5 only problems. Anyone else have this problem? Any work around?

Site: http://www.compactdiscount.com

No problem here. I went w-a-a-a-a-y past page 2.

It good that other people are not having this problem but I am.

I’m seeing this issue on your site also. It seems to get stuck at page 2.

Sorry, I don’t have a fix for you, and I don’t have a live 2.0 store to test mine out, just letting you know I see the issue on your store also.

Hope it gets figured out, I’m sure someone here can have some suggestions about what to try.

I have checked out other 2.0 sites and they all seem to have the same issue I’m having.

If you go into any of the categories using Firefox 3.5 it will not go past page 2.

Any fixes?

This was not fixed in 2.0.5

This is a very serious issue with Firefox 3.5 and CS-Cart 2.

At a glance, I think it has to do with jQuery History plugin.

There is one installed in CS-Cart under

www.domain.com/js/jquery.history.js

There is an updated version available here

I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS THEORY but if someone wanted to make a backup copy of their history.js and then grab the new history.js code and save it.

See what happens.

So dont be an idiot and do this LIVE and without a backup.

ETInteractive,

I tested it and this worked perfect.

Thank you very much.

Everyone who has a 2.0 cart needs to do this. It’s going to become a big issue on your site if you don’t.

What if you use non ajax pagination?

Do you have the problem?

I still warn against this, It hasn’t been fully tested and confirmed by CS themselves. It “could” break something else, maybe admin pagination?

I will report this to them and let them have a look around, and get an Official response/fix.

ETInteractive could be right about problems with this but so far I have not had any issues with it and it fixed a serious issue.

This is a real problem that should be address by ASAP.

Right now only 2% of the people coming to the site are using Firefox 3.5. I suspect that in a week or so that would be over 50%.

It has been submitted to the bug tracker for review.

We’re working on this problem. The temporary solution is to disable history plugin. In “/js/jquery.history.js” comment out this code:

$(document).ready(function() {
jQuery.history = new History(); // singleton instance
jQuery.history.init(fn_history_callback);
});

The problem was resolved. Check here:

The suggestion at this link does not work at least not at my site.

The suggestion by ETInteractive does seem to work without any problems so far.

It seem Firefox 3.5 has some jQuery issues.

It is a jquery_history bug. CS-Cart should update javascript libraries to the latest stable version with each new release. If the libraries are being used properly, there shouldn’t be any conflicts or broken functionality unless the plugin changes dramatically.

Anyone can confirm this? If this is true, I will feel very frustrated…Do I have to revert the changes suggested by cs-cart?

What is the real fix then? I’m confusing now…

This plugin was rewritten by our team completely, so there’s no way to update to the new version. But the problem is not in the history plugin at all.

I don’t want to break my site again but check out any 2.05 site (maybe 2.04 also) in Firefox 3.5 go to any categories and it will not go past page 2.

I found a site in the “Advertise your Site” section that will show you the problem

[url]Domain parking page

Nice site by the way.

The suggestion by ETInteractive fixed the issue at my site but I’m guessing it should be tested. It’s listed below.

I’m using firefox 3.01 and front page on my site won’t load at all and then I get an error message saying a script is busy on this page. I followed the instructions posted by Zeke and that did not solve the problem then I Followed ETInteractive suggestion and it worked and so far no problems.
