we have been creating the order then sending the link for customers to buy using this. by pressing "send invitation to pay"

I understand there are ways to do this, but why take away an easy option for us to place orders in the backend as we have been doing for as long as the software been out. I don't understand the logic behind it. I was told by support that the work around with the diff file will not work when 4.15.1 comes out. If that is the case I will not upgrade any of my stores.

I'm trying to do this upgrade:
Upgrade 4.15.1 - 4.15.1.SP1
It show it as available and there is a download button, but when I click download I get an alert that says:
Warning cannot download the upgrade package.
Why?
SP1 is not in my download center yet, been waiting for that fix to price per unit
I'm sorry for the delay with SP1. We're working on in right now, and will make 4.15.1.SP1 (and SP2, because we later discovered another issue) available as soon as possible to everyone who has upgraded to 4.15.1. I'm expecting it to be either a few hours from now, or tomorrow.
Over the course of this week, 4.15.1 and the SPs will gradually become available to all who wish to upgrade.
P.S. I've also seen all the past questions, but haven't been able to reply yet. Rest assured, I'll try to comment on every matter brought up in this topic before, as soon as I can. SP1 and SP2 for CS-Cart 4.15.1 are now available. You should see them if you have already upgraded to CS-Cart 4.15.1. For those who haven't had the chance to upgrade to 4.15.1 yet, we'll be making more and more upgrades available over the course of this week.

I applied the patch to bring this back after 4.14.2 and it's still working in 4.15.1 sp2. So either the patch is still working or they brought the functionality back.

It seems like the Access for authorized customers only option is enabled for your storefront.
1. Please open the Administration > Storefronts page
2. There click on the mentioned storefront
3. At the opened page, turn off the Access for authorized customers only option and save the changes.
