Unfortunately, we always have to make a choice what we include in the product sooner, later, or not at all. The choice is affected by many factors: technical complexity, the number of requests we get, how much value it adds, whether or not an alternative is available at our Marketplace, if there are any legal requirements, and so on. And that choice can change as time goes, depending on what's required at the moment.
I wish I could promise category mapping in a future version, but for the moment there are other things that have higher priority. I'll be able to publish the CS-Cart 4.16 roadmap in a month or so.
Thank you for posting it on the bug tracker. I see that our specialist has reproduced the issue and confirmed it, so we're now looking into it. Once there is a solution, we'll let you know on the bug tracker.

As usual, for the first few weeks after the release we hand out upgrade packages in limited numbers. So if you don't see the upgrade yet, please check the update page later....

Yes, I can confirm that we haven't made the upgrade available to everyone yet. But we will soon; hopefully, this or next week. Sorry about the delay; they can happen, especially with bigger releases like 4.14.1, 4.15.1, or 4.16.1.
P.S. If your upgrade subscription covers the release date, you'll be able to upgrade CS-Cart to that version whenever, even after your subscription expires. Just thought I had to mention that.
Is the create and process payment in the backend create order option is still left out of this upgrade and will the work around still works with this version. This feature is very important to me and if it's not going to be available, I won't be upgrading.

I am not sure I understand - are you saying that an administrator can no longer create an order for a customer and then using their credit card information process the payment?
If so I dont plan to upgrade until this design bug is fixed.

Yes, the ability to create and process an order in the backend was removed in 4.14.2. There is a patch that can bring it back. What we need to know is if that patch still works in 4.15.1

Exactly I take some orders by email and then manually type up the order for the customer and process it.

we have been creating the order then sending the link for customers to buy using this. by pressing "send invitation to pay"
not ideal but works for us
