Bug in SEO and Advanced import add-ons

When using the Advance products import and importing new products, a redirect is being created only on the first product in the import from /index.php to it’s SEO name.

/index.php → https:www.example.com/products-seo-name

Could you please provide additional details?

Unfortunately I am unable to understand the steps to reproduce the issue.

I’m not sure how to explain it further. Next time I import new products, I will post screen shots of the process.

Screen shot of file.

Field mapping of file (a little distorted because of full page screen shot).

Screen shot of 301 redirect after import. The redirect is of the first product in the import file.

Sorry, but I still don’t understand anything. Why import should create 301 redirect from /index.php?

That’s what I would like to know. Hence the reason I posted it and mentioned that it was “Unnecessary”.

All I can tell you is that every time I import new products, the redirect is created.

Edit: It never happened with the deprecated import, only with the Advanced products import.

Thanks for the clarification, now I understand

Could you please test this with your import file and preset at the dev.demo?

Yes. I was able to reproduce the issue on the demo site. May or may not have something to do with it but I had to install the Google export add on so that the extra fields (Condition, UPC, MPN) were enabled.

Could you please provide me with the step-by-step instructions?

Unfortunately I cannot explain it any further than I already have. It took me awhile to figure out what the issue was with the other unnecessary 301 redirects so if I discover any new information, I will report back. I have a feeling it may have something to do with the Google export add on so when I get some time, I will try an import without it.

I’m afraid that without knowing the steps to reproduce this issue I cannot pass the issue to the developers.
