We have released CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.10.1. The changes are too many to describe here, so instead we've listed them in our blog. This time you'll also find links to videos about new variations and checkout there. Here I'll only list 3 most important changes:

• Product variations are finally out of beta, and with new functionality.
• New customizable one-step checkout has been introduced.
• A new add-on called "Stores and pick up points" has been added. It'll let you create a "Pick up from store" shipping method with manually defined rates.

The upgrades to version 4.10.1 are already available. As usual, for the first few days after the release we hand out upgrade packages in limited numbers, but then we lift that restriction. So if you don’t see this upgrade in your Upgrade Center yet, please try again later.

Please Cs-cart integrate a payment gateway and courier for india as default (delhivery and razorpay is suggested).

There are a lot of Illiterate customers.. the order should be easy. 

If we update, we will start to have a lot of phone calls, that they can not make an order, because the system give them error with the phone!!!

There are a lot of online shops, that are local, and work only local. This is unnecessary.

Was looking forward to this update but wont update for now.. Not sure how removal of shipping / billing would impact my store.

even my store is international, major users enter phone number as local and delivery companies have no problem accepting such format phone numbers, while for me it is not important at all since I do not do phone support. Users could be advised asked to enter in international format but not made to, this can make confusion to most

Instead, it ensures that a customer can't enter more or fewer digits than necessary, or enter some text or symbols instead of digits. In fact, it's more convenient for customers that way: they don't need to worry how exactly they should enter the phone number.

The international format of phone numbers is also useful for integrating CS-Cart with messengers or SMS notification services.

Also, for those interested, there are clues that CS-Cart 5.0.1 is coming very soon. A lot of things will be deprecated as far as I could see so you definitely shouldn't expect addons to be released very soon then.

This is something I need, I sell a lot of goods to companies and the majority of the time the shipping/delivery address is different. This includes fields like first name, last name, phone number

 

Without the ability to define different shipping/delivery address fields then the latest version of cs-cart would not be suitable for my needs and there would be no requirement for me to extend my license.

 

Regarding the phone mask I think the new format is going to confuse my customers and cause shopping carts to be abondanded

We recently updated the list of changes in 4.10.1 for developers (if you opened the document before, you might need to refresh the page to see the changes). It might now have some of the information you were referring to. The changes get documented alongside with the development, and some parts of it got added between 4.10.1 RC1 and 4.10.1 Final.

Well, there is a geolocation addon. I think that adding the international phone code automatically based on the geolocation would fix the problem. You can check how it's done in this library https://intl-tel-input.com/. 

 

Could cs-cart team implement this? It looks like an easy fix for the current situation.

I've asked too many times for the ability to add radio button to show additional invoice fields. I think that if you will search the forum you will find plenty of interest in this functionality.

 

I agree that there should be an option to have different billing and shipping address. I will not use the new checkout until this functionality is introduced.
