Your Neighbors Are They Good... or Bad?

Hello All,
Are you hosting or planning to host your site in a bad neighbourhood?

It might be very difficult to determine if that’s the case, but our free tool might just help you: it will show the most backlinked domains (by referring domains) hosted on any given IP or subnet.

Visually inspecting those domains can help you determine if the most popular sites on that IP are spammy and thus potentially dangerous neighbours to have for valid sites hosted on the same IP or even subnet.
Pretty useless info… Dedicated server/IP hosted at large server farm shows lots of domains that have absolutely nothing to do with anything related to the requested domain.

I find it funny enough that my domain has no friends or neighbours. Maybe I should move from Africa…

Only place this could have any value whatsoever is if the domain was on a shared server with a shared IP. But then, all the other info is still pretty useless and unrelated.

Sometimes I think I’m in the wrong business with what I see others making a living off of…

I don’t know of any software that degrades an IP because of its subnet.

Did you try to check the IP of your domain name? It’s more useful than the domain name.

You’re right Tbirnseth. To check the neighborhood of a shared IP on a server, please, use this Reverse IP Domain Checker.

Is it not be preferable to have its own IP to avoid sharing it with a neighborhood that we can not control and which could harm us?

I recognize one of my sins, I do not share. Each of my sites has its own IP.

I get less hassle from this side.
