Will too many rate areas slow my site down?

I am thinking of having a rate area for every post code in Australia (around 3.5k) this will allow the most flexibility for vendors to set up their own delivery zones.

What impact is this likely to have on site speed?

@CS-Cart_team can you please help with this one? Fairly standard question that doesn’t seem to be covered in the documentation. It goes to ability for vendors to flexibly create delivery areas.

Hi!

I can assume that it should not significantly affect your store, at least if you are using version 4.17.2 or newer (there have been some performance improvements made, related to rate areas).
