Welcome mkayn!

I ran into the same scenario. I created my own separate vendor account on my marketplace going through the same steps as any other vendor would take. This allows you to see how the whole process works from a vendor’s point of view and allows you to make any adjustments and tweaks to your site to make things more user friendly.

Have you created a special plan for yourself other than the Vendor’s plans?

Yes. What I did is created a vendor plan that ends up having a ‘hidden’ status (you might want to make it visible at first so you can select it during your “signup” and then hide it later on). The parameters I set were $0.00 / month, no sign-up or transaction fees, no restrictions on products or revenue, allowed a customizable storefront, all categories included, and set as regular vendor. I would name it something that makes sense to you like internal usage, company store, etc…If you use stripe connect, I set up two business checking accounts - one that gets used in the stripe connect module for the marketplace where vendor payments (sign-up fees, commissions, etc) get sent, and the second business checking account was used for when I did the “vendor sign-up” steps for my internal vendor account. Hope all this information helps out.
