What is a "Local Server"
Personally having not yet upgraded i would advise that you set up a server locally. This advice is probally wide of the mark somewhat, but it is good advice for the future and will show you any errors.

If you are using 1.3.5 then why not change your signature to highlight this.
A local server is set up on your computer to simulate a linux site being on a live server. It will install all the apps for you like phpMyAdmin, MySQL, etc…

You will be able to view it as if it where live, but instead through your browser by typing http://localhost/cscart/index.php for example.

It is far easier to make mistakes here than on a live site.

The best way to do it is to download the pdf from your file area and have a read. Its well documented and easy to understand.

And yes it is safe providing you download directly.
