Vitaminlink version 2.0.5 almost ready to go

I need some banner work but all works well. I need a third eye.

Remove “Powered by Cs-Cart”

Consider changing the blue on the search fields (top left) to white.

Basically it hurts my eyes to focus on blue while green is in the background

.search-input {styles.css (line 506)
background-color:#ADD8E6;
border:1px solid #8FB1DA;
height:auto;
}

In “top-tools-container” add your phone number so that it reads floated right. (akin to www.barnlightelectric.com)

SEO wise it seems that the “more info” link isn’t SEO-Rewritten but rather as shown, you might want to look into that for obvious reasons

I think the top right hand side near the comodo logo could have a bit more information, not sure if you have that geared for a special sidebox but it might be considered.

Change SEO URL for “About our company” While also consider renaming it “about Vitaminlink” (In fact change all the page SEO names as they all have -1.html at the end of them.

http://www.vitaminlink.net/about-our-company-1.html

http://www.vitaminlink.net/terms-and-conditions-1.html

Would be worthwhile highlighting or bolding the paragraph titles for readability.

Consider the quick search matching all words rather than everything.

A quick search for “heart” provided me with 55 items, a blank search gave me 160. I’m not sure if the 55 items were relative to my search however.

Wow Jesse…that was quite an extensive analysis! :wink:

Also, your “View Larger Images” are crammed into the bottom of the page in IE8.

Looking good though! :wink:

Yes it is quite extensive and that’s why Jesse gets the big bucks.:cool: Thanks Jesse, now to get to work.

@STUCK - IE7 renders larger images properly and I can’t check IE6. Hopefully not too many folks are still using it.

Hi Roban,

No, I mentioned IE 8, check it out!

Looks like heavy rocket science to me…!

Geez I just uninstalled IE8. A real piece of garbage IMHO. I guess I’ll have to re-install to see what you’re talking about.
Geez I just uninstalled IE8. A real piece of garbage IMHO
I totally agree, I can’t stand it either for whatever reasons, I just don’t like the overall “feel” of using it.

But, as you know, when it comes to browsers, doesn’t really matter what we like! :wink:

Very true, very true. We have to make sure it all works.

Having said that, I did install IE8 but I don’t see what you’re seeing. My screen resolution is 1152 x 864 on both monitors.

Interesting, my screen res is 1024 x 768 and the view larger images are pushed way down onto the bottom of the screen (so far down that half of the image is actually cropped off !)

ALTHOUGH, I am still on CS_Cart 2.04, perhaps this was fixed in the latest 2.05 ! :rolleyes:

I just tried viewing in IE8 and changed my screen res to 1152 x 864 and it is still pushed overlapping the bottom of the screen, so, if it looks ok to you, then they must have fixed this in 2.05

Sorry if I sent you on a wild goose chase Roban!

Anyone on a screen resolution lesser than 1024x768 will have issues, since 1152x864 isn’t a “standard” screen resolution it’s expected that these issues occur as the browser attempt to position elements.

Just saying that if you raised it to 1280x1024 this problem would most likely cease to exist :wink:

I just have to say that I am impressed and grateful for the feedback I have received. It all helps so a big THANK YOU for your time.

I had reduced my resolution to 1024 x 768 and was not at all pleased with the results but realizing that this has become more or less the standard (not 800 x 600 anymore except perhaps for ‘older’ folks) I have to design for that resolution. If I designed my site in 1280 x 1024 I would be getting a ton of abandoned views.

Your right. I have one and forgot to upload it.
