Currently on 4.14.2 - should I upgrade in steps - through each version, or just jump to the latest version? There are some new features I’d like to have in latest versions.

Hi Adrian,
The step-by-step upgrades adapt your data (products, etc.) to the changes made in CS-Cart. Sometimes after the upgrade you may also be asked to take action. For example, when we replace an outdated integration with a current one, we’d let you know in a post-upgrade pop-up and in an email.
Jumping straight to the latest version would currently require making a new CS-Cart installation and importing the data from the old one. It might suit those who’re opening a new online store or radically revamping their current one. It also requires much more manual work, so I could only advise this to a developer.
So, for the moment, upgrading in steps is the best way to go. When our Customer Care staff assist with the upgrade (it is a service we provide), they also use this approach, because every update has been tested multiple times before release.
