Trying to add pics

I am trying to add a thumbnail for my product which I am getting from my suppliers product images FTP site and when I upload it then go to my site and click on the category the image is huge. It goes off the screen. Why is this?

make sure you are uploading it on the right side of your image pair. CS cart will create a thumbnail for you. If you upload it directly to thumbnail on the left, it will be the original size.
