Were do I disable the temporary tables I’ve read in other threads to see if it speeds up my site. I’m getting http 500 errors constantly when I’m in the backend doing work.
Secondly, how do I add my leftside bar to the product page? I have product filters on my home page and category pages and even show as “active” in the blocks for product pages, but it doesn’t appear?

Error 500 refers to a security portion of Mod_Security.
I suggest you check with your host for a solution.
