In 2.2.x, if you went to the cart page and estimated shipping, it would give you a shipping rate. Then if you refreshed the page, it would show your taxes. I never understood why it didn’t just show your taxes when it showed your shipping, but it did at least show your taxes.
Now in 3.0.4, when I do this, it never shows the taxes. I actually have to be logged in to be able to see my taxes.
Has anyone else noticed that?
I’d like the taxes to be shown when I estimate shipping.
Any ideas?

Sweet, that is awesome that you know how to tax, but it doesn't much help me.
The taxes are set up to be based on the shipping address. So when zip code is entered into the shipping estimator, the cart then knows the shipping location and can accurately calculate the tax.
The taxes are being calculated just fine, that isn't the problem.
The problem is that the tax used to display on the cart page in 2.2.x and now in 3.x, I can't get the tax to display.

Uhm, I'm not really concerned about the checkout page, that works fine. And you can have the cart on the checkout page for 2.2.4. Just turn on 1 page checkout with cart in the settings.
I'd just like to get this to work on the cart page.
