Successful CS-Cart owners

Hi,

I do not own a CS-Cart License, and do not have direct experience with it. However so far, it does look very nice.

I am responsible for a small (ish) but very busy e-commerce site based on another cart.

My question is to those of you that are running a busy, successful business based on CS-Cart. (at the very least, $500,000 US in sales per year and stocking inventory).

What are your honest opinions? Is CS-Cart easy to modify / Customize? Is it possible to easily create backend add-ons? Anything you can share about backend order processing / after order add-ons, cancellations, etc?

We are considering a second website based on an alternative cart and have checked out several others including Magento… which is nothing more than a TV infomercial. Great claims at a great price without delivering. The reality is Magento costs a LOT of money and time to make it work in a realistic way.

If you would rather not post your conclusions publicly, please msg me directly (privately).

Thanks

Kevin

I’m not doing that much in sales per year, but I can answer your questions below.

It is quite easy to customize if you know HTML/CSS, PHP and Javascript. With that knowledge you can do just about anything you’d like to do with CS-CART. There are quite a few modifications that are freely posted on these forums.
