Structured Data Prices

Can anyone tell me how to change the structured data round so my Inc vat price google pulls for the merchant centre is seen as the price INCLUDING tax.

Its a long story but an addon I purchased from simtech seems to be wrong (was fixed in good faith by oleg a while ago)
but since I updated to the new version google is disapproving my ads again.
Basically the cost in my google feed is correct, but Google reporting incorrect, see below

one dispparoved item of 180 items
Custom Printed Hi Vis Orange Padded Waterproof Coat Jacket - Hi Vis Jacket Orange - Custom Printed - https://www.hivis.co.uk/hi-vis-jacket-yellow.html

Value in landing page - 19.80GBP
Value in the data feed - 16.50GBP

My value in the data feed IS 19.80 but google says not. I think it comes down to the tax and I just want to change the inc tax and ex tax price around to see if it sorts it.

It is a lot longer story but dont want to bore you, If any dev wants to take a paid look just let me know. I havent had an answer from Simtech to my pm for a week, she must be in hol

Disapproved deadline is tomorrow, and the google online chat was going round in circles.
thanks
John

The European directive is to give prices incl. VAT. Yours are not. Probably you have to change your general settings and include VAT in the price.

Yes understood, but google says my FEED says 16.50 but my feed in google spreadsheet shows 19.80 not 16.50

Google doesn't strike me as an etalon of intelligence. Somehow it takes the base price as canonical... I don't know what the new post-Brexit regulations would be, but still it's a good practice - for us, non-Americans - to use VAT included prices to our clients as a base.

Yes, I agree due to current legislation but this is a fault in the data being read the wrong way round. I had similar isssue over a year ago with the first version of the addon and they changed it, but I think now I have updated to simtechs new version it is wrong again due to the manual change Oleg did for me ,(in good faith). So the feed is reporting to google that the landing page text it should read is the NETT price and not the price including tax. My feed has worked perfect for years.

I have turned the addon off for now and Ill see what a difference it makes. It seems so simple but yet so awkward. If anyone can look into it as a service let me know.

I haven't used Google Merchant in years but isn't there a tax settings? Maybe Google is subtracting your tax from your feed price.?

Yeah its a thought but I havent even changed that either.

Can anyone tell me, if the data tool here https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/

shows the correct price 1.91, why would google merchant centre say the page shows the price ex tax 1.59 ? Im foxed

Can anyone tell me, if the data tool here https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/ is correct

Except for the price, it's all wrong. Meta-data are for other language and have nothing to do with the data found in the page source. Besides, it asks for Brands - there are 3 Brands objects on the page, only called differently, and other stupid things like aggregate rating, review, image - there is one big product image, - and SKU - what for is CODE if not for SKU?!

Google merchant takes the price from your feed. Not from your page, like the structured data tool. My guess is your feed is incorrect and showing prices without VAT.

This is the argument Ive had with google for 3 weeks the feed is perfect, prices are all incl vat, I have sent screenshots etc.

The feed shows, 1.91and the landing page shows 1.91 (with tax) so the price google is pulling is the nett price of 1.59 but how, Im sure it is the addon , it happened the very day after installing the addon, and Im sure it goes waaaaay back to when Oleg fixed it last time on V1 but now Im on the latest version.

Heres my feed https://prnt.sc/mt6alb

And heres the product page https://www.hivis.co.uk/yellow-hi-vis-vest.html

And this si the add showing the wrong price on google shopping https://prnt.sc/mt6co3

Finally

and a snip of the price on product page https://prnt.sc/mt6bgg

Something on my site is telling google to read the nett price of 1.59 and not the gross price of 1.91 and I cant see what or where but am sure its simtech addon changes that have been made.

The price here is 1.91

Yes it is, see my post 7, so why does google email me telling me it is 1.59, i cant explain it. I will see tomorrow when they disapprove all my products I assume :-

In my opinion this doesn't have anything to do with structured data and everything to do with google merchant.?

So, in google merchant tax settings, you don't have any tax rates set up? I am thinking you shouldn't. I don't know if EU settings are different than US.

Also, is there a tax field in your data feed? I am thinking you shouldn't provide a tax.

Hmm.... can you check your feed results? On my feed the price looks like 27.95 EUR

Without the currency, google does not accept the price. Maybe that's why it's taking the price in a different way? Just a hunch.
