Specific Language Codes For Regions (En-Us, En-Gb, De-De, De-Ch, De-At Etc)

Hello everybody,



is it possible to add region specific languages to cs-cart? Like:



en-US

en-GB

de-DE

de-CH

de-AT



etc.



Seems that there is no support for this at the moment, isnt it? Thanks for your help!

It is possible.


  1. Go to the Administration > Languages > Manage languages page of your CS-Cart admin panel.
  2. Clone the language (English, for example).
  3. Change its code to en-GB and its country to United Kingdom.
  4. Change the clone's code to en-US.

Now two questions:

  1. What happens if there is no translation for en-GB? There is no fallback so I have to maintain everything twice (adding new language variables for both languages even if they are the same)?
  2. Do I have to maintain all my (new) product data, category names etc. twice? Or what will happen if a user switch from US to GB?
