i have tried the below link with version 2.2.1 and google apps (my domain)

but i get this error

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to ssl://smtp.gmail.com:465 (Connection timed out) in /home/waw/public_html/mail.php on line 9
i talked with server administrators they said everything fine from server side and i need to contact google ?? any hint ?
Hello albahrain,
It seems that this error occurs because your PHP is configured without SSL socket transport (SSL should be listed in the “Registered Stream Socket Transports” of your PHP info page).
Please contact your server administrator and ask him/her to enable it on your server.
