SMTP Email not working

I’ve tried searching before posting this but couldn’t find a satisfying answer, plus most posts are for older version of Cs-cart.

I am having difficulties setting up email via SMTP server with Microsoft 365. Credentials are correct and security defaults are turned off in 365.
I am using smtp.office365.com

Nothing seems to work and I’ve been trying countless times.

Update!
I just got it to work.
I’ve added the port number to the host like this, smtp.office365.com:587
And then I created an app password in office 365 and entered this password instead of my usual password which requires two factor authentication.
I also opened the port 587 in my aws lightsail.
