First of all, thank you to everyone on this forum. You have saved me countless hours and downtime working on my site.
My question has been asked several times, but I have never seen it answered. I read in another thread how to skip the cart page and go directly to the one page checkout when someone selects “add to cart”. I still need the shipping estimate if I am going to do this. I have tried copying and pasting the shipping estimate reference from checkout_totals.tpl to checkout.tpl, but I cannot find the correct spot in checkout.tpl to get it to display correctly (like it does on the cart page). Can anyone pinpoint exactly what needs to be copied and to where to get it to function on the one page checkout so the estimate is included in the order total (prior to logging in or registering)? I would really appreciate the help. Thank you in advance!
I was trying to add shipping estimation to product_details page, unsuccessfully unfortunately.
Sounds like an interesting idea really. I will play around and see what I can come up with.
