Hi all,

I'm trying to understand "New Shipment" button in "Order Details" page.

Clicking this button, any vendor (expecially in multi-vendor cs-cart version) can define shipment for an order selecting Shipping Method between previous defined methods and carrier corresponding to.

What happened after clicking Create button? Is it only a software feature to assign an order shipments in database or, selecting shipment method and carrier, cs-cart software sends a request to carrier and schedule a pickup?

Add new shipment is a only database storage of shipment. with the order shipment you can save a refrence of order (like carrier , tracking url & quantity) etc. this feature is used to assign a shipment ,By Default its not send any request for pickup.

If you do not split your orders into multiple shipments, you can disable this feature. Just check

Settings -> General -> Allow multiple shipments for a single order

There is not such feature in default package.
