we have tried everything and cannot get the shipping option to show up on checkout that lets you select to pick up from store. . We have set the manual shipping and named it pickup at store , nothing works. Our UPS shipping selection works perfect and it is the only thing that shows up on customer checkout to select. What are we doing wrong?????
You should properly configure your 'Pick up from store' shipping method. It should be with 'manual rate' and include the rate for each location you have.
Make sure your desired locations have zero rate. In this case you will see '+' next to the location's name.

We suggest creating a new order status (e.g. Ready for pickup). When you change the order status to this one the customer will receive a notification.
