Setting up Categories, Images, Display...

I have a few questions that I am struggling with regarding categories.

I would like to display the categories in a grid layout with an image, but display products as a list. Is this possible?

I would like a grid of the main categories displayed on the homepage.

Can I import category descriptions and images or does this have to be done manually?

I have searched and can't seem to find the answer to these questions.

Thanks in advance!

yes http://kb2.cs-cart.c…-multicolumns#3

Your product images as list is set in admin>settings> appearance> default layout…

Can be done via and html block or you can choose, design>blocks>homepage>central content> then add block, select categories as the block content then fill everything else out after you have played with it a little to see what you like best.

No dont think so but you can do it in bulk via select box them all and then at bottom of screen select edit where it says “choose”.

Good Luck

Hi, I am trying to implement subcategories with images on my version 2.2.3

I have followed the code from http://kb2.cs-cart.c…-multicolumns#3

I can see the subcategories, but I can not see the subcategory images.

Admin panel shows the uploaded subcategory image, but, the subcategories show 'no_image.gif'

Any advice? Many thanks.
