Has anyone developed an add-on similar to WordPress’ SEO Smart Links?

This would allow to replace specific keywords in products descriptions with links to specific pages. Great for SEO!
It will look very cheap though… I only have done this for my features, so people can click on them and that way see all products that have a certain feature (for example: all cars with round wheels)
The real product pages would be on my website anyway; few clients would actually browse the store. The main benefit of having products pages in a catalog style is that Google has more pages to index that are closely related to my other pages.
