These have to be some of the most expensive templates I have seen. A template should not cost half the price of the cart!

What do you think makes the CS-Cart 3.0.6 package contains only one Template?
I estimate a template that is mostly just CSS code should be $79. Unless your template is adding new functionality ( which it appears not) I feel you are overpricing your worth.
Notice on the site you referenced (http://www.templatem…ento-themes.php) almost none of the templates have been purchased. This is because they are overpriced.
I like that these templates are responsive and show some innovation. I'm not a big fan of the looks though but that's a matter of taste.
Conerning the price: If I were truly happy with a template and the quality is high and some support is given, I wouldn't mind spending that at all. I mean, the look of your shops is soooo important. What is an investment of 170 dollar if you are serious about your business?
Then again, really good templates on themeforest for Magento don't cost more then $90 so I think that should be about the price.
$170 is a drop in the ocean - for Australia at least.

Triplets - I think the price is higher because they're responsive. For anyone that doesn't understand responsive design, visit this link and resize your browser window to see how the content changes for tablets or mobile phones. This saves the headache of having both desktop and mobile versions of your site to maintain.
Jesse - I have never purchased templates from these guys before. What was wrong with them?
Hello.
grayloon - Thank you for your comment!
We did a panel to select Сolors and Content for Live Demo of our Templates.
Click on the link will “VIEW LIVE DEMO”, liked the themes from the page:
http://websiteskin.c…lor/multi-color
Choose a different color or content on the page “Live Demo”.
Note:
Sometimes when you go to the next page is an invalid return to the old color or content. This is because some blocks cached.
In other communities, ie Wordpress, when a designer has a new skin/theme they tend to provide the wp community with a basic of the same theme, ie minimum widgets, add-ons etc. This way the users have a way to determine a “proof of concept” that the theme targets its purposes ;and ultimately the vendor gets many orders from pre-satisfied customers.
When charging anything in excess of $40 imho this is good practice, if you are confident your theme/design will work well for the intended application, and has few, if any, customisation of the core.
This practice helps to alleviate complaints or requirement for intensive support.
