When entering “Search Words” into a particular product…
Do these words pertain to just the search feature on my store or do they have any SEO value as well?
Are they case sensitive or should I be taking pains to re-enter a lot of words in upper and lower case?
Does CSC take into account any of the other product's data if I don't specifically mention it under the “search words” heading (i.e. product code, the category it's in etc.)
The Search words field stores a list of words by which a product should be easily found in the built-in search facility. Such keywords are not related to SEO and you should not worry about the case sensitivity matter. If you do not specify any search words for a product, the system will keep searching it by its name, short and full description.
