I want visitors to be able to search by size and only have sizes currently exist appear in the search results.
Example, visitors might search for size 34 pants. It would be useful if visitors can type 34 in the search box and have the results show all the pants with waist size 34in stock.

You can just uncheck “Show out of stock products” option in General Settings section.
