RMA E-mail Notification

Is there a setting anywhere so that when someone requests and RMA, an e-mail is sent to us, or do you just have to remember to go look at the RMA Request screen in admin? Haven’t really used this feature before but my client is saying when they do an RMA request no e-mail is sent to the store admin, nor the customer. Although I would assume the e-mail is not sent to the customer until the RMA request is approved? They still think it would be nice for the customer to receive an e-mail, “Thank you for your RMA request. We will process your request within 24 hrs.” or something like that. In addition to getting an e-mail “Customer so in so has requested and RMA”
