Hi Guys,
I'm trying to go through the process of speeding up my website. Just about all I have left is to optimize my images, altogether close to 30K of them all scattered throughout the “Images” folder of the cart program. Is there a quick easy way to batch process these to reduce them without distorting them? I'm hoping there's a script I can install or something. I have gzip installed, but I'm not sure that works on images?
Appreciate any insight!
This looks interesting, but I haven’t had a chance to try it:
Seems interesting, but rather expensive. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm hoping someone might know of a script or something that'll do this.
Hello,
Thank you for the message.
There are several file compression tools that can help you with this. I can recommend FileOptimizer. It is free and it can deliver some good results with compression.
Simtech,
Thank you for recommending that software, it worked like a dream! I love how I can just drag a cluster of folders and it automatically drills down into subfolders and optimizes all the images.
