I've noticed that when I run a promotion for x% off on products, if those products also have quantity discounts then both get applied which is very bad for me.
Is there any way to set up promotions so that they don't apply to quantity discounts? Rather I'd like to see whichever is less is what the customer gets. I'd like to see my promotion only count for the normal, single item price of the item.
Can anyone help?

You will need to use usergroups in order to have your qty discounts require a particular group and then have the promotion exclude users in that group. It will get you closest, but not perfect.
