Hi,



I would like to make the URL field a mandatory field for affiliate account type. In Admin > Users > Profile fields, I have the following setting for the URL field.


  • Profile
  • Show (checked) / Required (not checked)


  • Checkout
  • Show (checked) / Required (not checked)


  • Profile
  • Show (checked) / Required (checked)



    Is this setting correct?



    Now, when a user is registering as an affiliate, the URL fields does not have a red asterisk which denotes it as a mandatory field. And it is not behaving as a mandatory field as well, the user can just leave this field empty and his account will be created successfully.



    But, he will not be able to update this profile without entering something into the URL field. He will not be able to change his account type to “customer” without entering something into the URL field.



    Question: Why the check is not done upon registration? But is only done AFTER the account has been registered?



    BUG?!



    I am using 2.0.10.

Just tried this in 2.0.12. With both Show and Required checked for the URL field in the Affiliate column, the field is displayed with an asterisk, and if it is empty the field is highlighted before registration can succeed.

Perhaps they have this fixed in 2.0.12. Thanks.
