Please note that the Product option combinations add-on has been deprecated since version 4.10.4 and was completely removed in 4.12.1 . If you want to use this add-on in your current version, it will require code modifications.
Unfortunately, as I can see, this add-on’s functionality is used for a large number of products as individual options for each product in your installation.
Please note that after upgrading to version 4.12.1 , all these option values will be lost. Therefore, the only way to migrate this product variability to future platform versions is to create the appropriate features for these products and then manually customize these product variations according to your needs.
Unfortunately, the automatic conversion tool only works with configured Option combinations , not with individual options for each product.
If your store relied heavily on Product Combinations, how did you upgrade without spending 100+ hours manually re-entering data?
I’m also concerned about future upgrade issues if custom code is involved, and Product Variations appears significantly more time consuming. I’m currently several versions behind because the cart functions properly as is, but I’m being forced to upgrade due to PHP version compatibility with hosting providers, and that issue is only going to get worse over time. I was hoping to upgrade to the latest version, since I just renewed the license.
