Problerm with AMEX, american express, and PayPal Pro

I keep getting the error…



Your processor is unable to process the Card Type in the currency requested. Please try another card type.



Using PayPalPro / /Amex / GBP.



Anyone have this problem. I havn’t noticed it with 1.3.4, but maybe I just didn’t notice as we don’t get many amex payments.



Anyone know how to debug PayPalPro transactions?

afaik AMEX only allows transactions in USD, and for this reason online sales should be the same. Here is AU all AMEX related charges are in USD.

Oh really? Ah well, I’ll just disable it then. Losing Amex is no big deal.

I’m not 100% sure, however who the hell can cover AMEX fees anyway? I’ve seen 7% on some purchases here in Australia… waste of cash if you ask me :wink:

I’d love to dump AMEX but, unfortunately, they are responsible for over a quarter of our business, expecially on big-ticket purchases.



Fortunately, out discount rate never approaches even four percent.
