Paypal Pro....I was robbed...need new CCc processing

I recently had 4 fraudulent transactions on my website with the scammers using stolen Discover Cards. I wasa ble to figure out what happened after shipping the first item, but not the last 3. $1200 later I have lost in all this I need to find a more secure way of processing credit cards.

The transaction used the billing address to verify the charge, but the ship to address was different. Phone and email info was fake as well.

So I need ideas on what to use.

Paypal Pro offers no protection, but it is integrated. $30 a month for nothing…

Paypal Standard offers protection, but is not integrated.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Does CS Cart do anything with shipping address in the verification process? any way to turn this option off? Would that make a difference?

Thanks

We only ship to billing address with signature confirmation… at first our online business got a little slower, but we haven't had one charge back since for un-authorized use.

We tell customer who must ship to a different address to use Google Checkout and if the Payment guarantee appears we'll ship the item if not we'll refund the transaction.

Hi,

PayPal standard and PayPal Express are both integrated in cs-cart. I have been using both.

Does this take you away from your cart to Paypals website to process the transaction? Some people are really turned off to do this. They want it all on one website and do not like the change.

I do appreciate everyones response.

Thanks

Authorize.net. I have used this for years and have had no fraudulent charges. It's a little pricier than paypal pro but it's well worth the money. I get authorize.net through Wells Fargo and they provide free pci scans monthly for your site. I've taken paypal off my site completely. I also use google checkout and amazon checkout.

bankcard usa is who i just signed on with i am leaving intuit cause of the misc charges they charge bankcard usa only charges 7 dollars a month service fee plus 0.49 % i will be saving with them

Do you need to set up a business account with your bank to use Authorize.net, or can you just use your personal checking account?

Authorize.net is a payment gateway. You would still need a bank or someone to actually offer you the processing. Authorize.net shows a list of some of the banks they work with at…
