page corruption - need help!

Please help!

On the odd occasion when I view my site www.brightdaycleaningsupplies.co.uk it is slow to load and the following message comes up in the browser page.

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\Inetpub\vhost\brightdaycleaningsupplies.co.uk\httpdocs\core\db_mysql.php on line 72

I might add this can also happen in the admin area as well. Where it says on line 72 I sometimes get a different number. I realise something may be corrupted.but how do I repair this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

That is not a problem with your site. That error is caused by limits set within that servers configuration. A host with limits set this low is not adequate to reliably support database driven sites because some tasks often require more than 30 seconds…

What S-Combs said. If you need proper cs-cart hosting see above.

I should mention that the more clientele you get, the more frequent the error message will be as server load increases per client.

There was me thinking I messed up. Thank you for your replies.

Just an update on the above problem. I have contacted my hosting service and they say that they are in the process of moving and upgrading servers and that I will not get the problem again.

I must admit it is only now and then that I get the error message.

I am pressuming that I get this erroer message becasue they are doing something at the server end. And nothing more I hope!!

I would hope the above problem would have been sorted by the reassurance of my host but in the admin panel I am now having another problem. The error messages appear on any link that I try to go to in admin. I am therefore unable to view any settings. Please help. Thanks

These are the messages appearing on the page:

That error you originally posted above has nothing to do with them servicing the server. It is a static setting within the file php.ini (max_execution_time = 30). If they do not raise that limit it will continue to cause you the same problems.

Other settings within php.ini that should also be adjusted to better support data driven sites are below. The default limits set are too low.

```php max_input_time =
memory_limit =
post_max_size =
upload_max_filesize = ```
Try this:
FTP into your account and go into var/compiled. Delete all of the files and folders in that directory (admin, customer, mail plus all files). These are just cached files and will be regenerated. Now try accessing the areas where you got the errors before.
You should also strongly consider moving your site to a box with a Linux operating system running the Apache web server because, the Microsoft IIS web server does not fully support some functions of CS-Cart such as some mod_rewrite functions.
Oh my word it is going from bad to worse. I done the above and cannot log into my control panel. I get this message on screen now
Error: Can’t write template cache in the directory: D:\Inetpub\vhosts\brightdaycleaningsupplies.co.uk\httpdocs\var\compiled\admin.
Please check if it exists, and has writable permissions.
HEEEELLLP!!!
Your problem is that server and host deano1.
Hi S Combs Sorry to sound a bit dumb but this is starting to lose me what do I need to do now? At least to get the site and access to admin back. Thanks
Honestly, you need to get away from that host and the windows IIS server. If you would like to see the differnce, I willl give you one free month on a Linux/Apache server. Your problems will be solved then.
OK What to do now? Just as I was finding my way round the Cart it’s all gone wrong. I will take you up on your offer and put my site on your hosting service. How do I transfer all my work over to you?
