Everytime I clone a page (even one that is created by cscart such as contact us) I get a page not found 404 error or fatal error after. I even created a page from scratch and after you save it once and you return to edit something the page gives you a 404 error or the fatal error. i am on 2.12 and started on 2.07. No mods.
Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /home8/groundvi/public_html/mysite.com/var/compiled/customer/%%77^771^771082D5%%original.tpl.php on line 14
Can any one help?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Try clearing your template cache. It looks like the problem may be in a compiled template.
From the Admin Dashboard screen, add ‘?cc’ to the URL.

Thanks…i’m not clear on the add?cc to the url. How do you clear the template cache?
Go to your Admin Dashboard, then type ?cc after the URL in the address bar and hit enter.
You can also clear it manually using an FTP client. Delete the contents of /var/cache and /var/compiled.

I tried to add that switch and hit enter but i still get the error. I can go in and deletes all of the files in var/cache and var/compile. I should clear all or just the one in question. ie original? does it self create all of them over time again?
Just clear them all. The cart rebuilds them, as needed.

I cleared them out several times. But, I get the same errors. 404 or fatal error. I also ran maintenance and then a back up, closed out of admin and came back in. What should the permissions be in var? I have var at 777 and the rest keep showing up at 644. Then I set them with ftp customer, mail and admin to 777. Is that right?
It worked fine on the first 10 pages or so but anything new (pages) lately you get the same.
it crashes on page view within the page creation phase. Kinda hard to add content if you can’t make a page.
Thanks again for anyone’s help.
