These settings are not expected to be so different and it is a guessing game to get it to work.
I have tried many different settings to get USPS - International First Class and USPS - International Priority working properly but can’t get them to work.
It should not be this difficult and all seems to point to the integration not being correct. I have raised a ticket in support but it is not getting much attention.
I have another online store that runs different software. It’s a WordPress based plugin (not WooCommerce). I have USPS and UPS integrations on that site. I recently contacted them to see if they are going to update the software to accommodate the changes coming down from USPS and their response was that they already have the update coded, but in their tests, the USPS side of things is not ready. There are errors and problems, and USPS is slower than molasses in their responses to problem reports. So they are holding off releasing the new software until USPS gets their end of things fixed.
One of the problems is that they have introduced a rate limit, so the software can only make a certain number of calls per hour before it errors out.
I just received my new Client Id and Client Secret. I’m not getting my new shipping method to work using different combinations. Is there a cheat sheet on what the settings should be? I only need domestic ground advantage and Priority mail. Different combinations not working. The old shipping method still works, but the email that USPS is sending is saying it will be retired on 25 Jan 2026.
It is only a bandaid. New USPS is a mess but the settings are posted for a couple solutions. Probably best to not use the NEW USPS integration for now. CSC is supposed to be working on it.
Well, I checked with CSC support and they believe that the current new version of USPS integration is fine and they are not releasing an update for it anytime soon. So we are all left with the confusing interface.
I still do not have the settings figured out for international shipments. Please post here if someone figures them out.
Need support credits and I am not buying credits to fix something that they should be fixing on their own.
They gave me the settings for domestic priority and first class. I have asked about the international settings and I am not getting an answer. I stopped asking because it was my belief they were working on updating the integration. I asked them yesterday and they said they are not fixing it.
More people need to complain about the integration.
UPDATE: Domestic rates are working on my site, but I just discovered today THEY ARE NOT WORKING ON MOBILE. I’m literally having customers call or email me asking how to get the free shipping. I offer free Media Mail shipping on all orders over $50. Why are USPS rates working on desktop but not mobile (phones)? Help!
UPDATE: I found that the rates come in if I refresh the page, but obviously my customers are not doing that.
UPDATE 2: I placed this customer’s order for her over the phone using my computer. USPS rates were there part of the time, but then they disappeared again. So this is very, very flaky. I need a solution.
