Which live demo version has this update? I tried a live demo of Mixed goods like Amazon, and the version was 4.17 from a long time ago.

You can check the following demos, which were upgraded to 4.18.1:

  • apparel
  • grocery
  • electronics

Also the dev.demo is always up to date (even a bit too much, since it’s always one minor upgrade ahead of the current live version):

Dark mode looks beautiful in iOS. Well done!
Next update should polish out small annoying issues.

Frontend needs a modern touch… Not updated for 10years maybe

Yes, as far as I know our team is keeping an eye on it. Unfortunately I cannot give any details as there are no approved plans at the moment.

I don’t think frontend is a priority. I think the backend is crucial and it’s good that Cs-cart is modernising it lately (even if it’s mostly just cosmetics😀).
And Cs-cart comes with frontend API, so I guess if you have a dev team you can create the most beautiful frontend that you can imagine. Also, I think Cs-cart not focusing on frontend gives it’s app and addon developers community business opportunities, same thing happening at our friend Shopify.
Me personally, I’d like to see the old Cs-cart features improved. For example the accounting area and common product.
The Cs-cart mobile app frontend though! That thing is so windows xp days! It’s crazy!

I am here since 1x cs-cart. Trust me it never ever happened such a long time in front end theme updates. 10 years!!!

There used to be much more active comunity and more developers offering addons. Currently choice for themes is basically not existent.

I am small business owner and cannot afford developer team hiring.

If front end is no important why cs-cart.com changed its design maybe 5 times in last 10years. Even forum was updated but not the product look and feel, its crazy.

I totally get you. 10+ years is a long time for sure. Similar companies have come and improved bigger during this time.
And now they shifting towards developing a new enterprise version.
Maybe if they reduced the licence fees significantly (scrap the paid upgrades) so small startups can use the money to hire devs and other costs, instead of paying expensive licences :man_shrugging:
A dev to redo the frontend would run you like $3000. Cs-cart with a default outdated frontend runs you around the same price. As a small startup, you end up looking at other software providers.

Barefoot shew maker

When to prioritize user-side speed ?

am i stuck here? no ccavenue gateway!! (why?) i too got here from x-cart days and stuck to these guys… feeling really stuck guys

I’ve been here since CS-Cart v1 too.
It’s the same front end since 2009 - made responsive in v3.
I wish CS-Cart would add more templates for the product page. It’s only been two options (default and Big Picture) since the beginning.
And the included theme named Responsive is dated and comes in ugly colors. I get tired of paying 3rd parties for theme upgrades with every cart version upgrade, and reapplying customization to the theme. It would be great if the included theme(s) was good enough to just tweak with custom css. It certainly would make upgrades easier.

Hello!
CS-Cart user since 2008, but now with this new way of using features and not options, i’m struggling.
A product with one feature (size S-M-L for example) only shows as default the 1st size with stock…is it normal??? I would like to present all sizes available, without any size pre-selected by default (as i do with older versions), and only present the stock when the size is selected by the user.
Does anyone face this same issue?
