How can I get a copy of 2.1.2? I have the white screen of death and unfortunately, no idea how to fix it. I cleared out my smartoptimizer cache and boom. white… Going to cry…
Remove the SO code from htaccess for now until you figure it out. The problem should be within SO and not the cart itself.
yeah… that’s the first thing I did… still white. NO idea what is wrong at this point. I stupidly have not backed up since my last upgrade.
Not sure how clearing SO cache would cause all of this but you should be asking Scott for a backup.
What about clearing the carts cache?
Thanks… I took your advise and put in a support ticket to Scott. I clearing cache did nothing either. sigh…
I’ve fixed this once before. I think the site that this was happening to either had a corrupted index.php file or it was a corrupted index.tpl file.
It’s been a while since I had to fix this, but that’s where I’d start.
I’ll also PM you if you want some help.
Brandon
I was thinking index.php as well Brandon but I don’t see how clearing the SO cache would have anything to do with it.?
yeah. I will look into it… and wait for scott.
I don’t think clearing the SO cache has anything to do with it either. I just know that I’ve dealt with this before.
Maybe she accidentally deleted the index.php file?
Moka,
Can you still access your admin?
Brandon
Whoa, that is weird. You just have the one folder, no files or other folders? That isn’t right at all.
What about the customer side?
Brandon
sorry folders were there… looked into the wrong one. the index php is there, and looks fine. admin is white too. I’m checking all files right now…
I’ve been having weird things happen lately. For example, on the back end when looking at products view, my dropdown to categories is gone. Also, when I’m editting a product, it will not save a category.
I’ve deleted the most recent addon I put in a few weeks ago, but has not helped.
I have about a thousand of these in error log… what does it mean?

Well, unfortunately I think you just got outside of my scope of things.
My only thought on your errors is, have you made any changes to your fn.catalog.php file lately?
You might try replacing your fn.catalog.php file with one from a clean CS-Cart package.
Not sure if that helps, but it might be worth a shot.
Brandon
Wasn’t 2.1.2 chock full of bugs?
I’ve attached fn.catalog.php from 2.1.2 in case you want to try it.
WOW!!! You guys are awesome!!! Site is back up. It was the fn.catalog file. THANK YOU!!!
Thank God for error logs huh?! LOL
I have to add, that there have been many times I have been tempted to abandon CScart, but you can add all the bells and whistles to a cart, but nothing can possibly beat the incredible support on this forum!!
From the time I went down, it was resolved in 1 hour. Pretty damn good!
Wasn’t 2.1.2 chock full of bugs?
I don’t know. I ran it for quite a while and didn’t really have any problems. I was actually running it on 4 sites until last night. I just updated 2 of the sites to 2.1.4 last night and it went totally cake.
The only problems I did have with the cart were either fixed easy enough or were “working as designed”.
I’m not really sure how long I ran 2.1.2 for, but I know I made more sales on that one version than any other single version.
But, I don’t use all of the features that are built into the cart. I also use the My Changes addon or custom addons to make things the way I want. I try to really limit changing any core files and this seems to help. Or, at least I like to think so.
Brandon
Thank you ‘Brandon’ and ‘The Tool’
Our ticket notification system isn’t working tonight for some reason and you guys came to moka’s rescue. Time to go fix my own site for a change lol
