Another question… are there any existing add-on or has anyone created one that will bypass all of the individual shipping charges per vendor during checkout, and only charge one final shipping fee for the entire order? This is a must for companies that is doing fulfilment for their vendors. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I actually have an old shipping addon made for v3 that will do this (only charging the fee from the first vendor listed, and auto null the other ones during checkout)… can any developer here help me convert the add-on for v4? please email me at pokguy@gmail.com thank you!

Hi!

Since then, we’ve implemented the ability to select a signle shipping method for multiple vendors at checkout, and only charge the customer for shipping once. It’s part of the “Order fulfilment by marketplace” add-on in CS-Cart Multi-Vendor.

It works even when some vendors use fulfilment, and others ship by themselves (dropshipping).

With this add-on could a vendor have a fulfillment by marketplace shipping method and their own in-store pickup option?

Or would the in-store pickup now be set to the marketplace address and not the vendor?

It would be great if the fulfillment by marketplace shipping methods were by shipping method and not by vendor plan.

Please let me know if you know of a work around or if there is a way to limit the amount a shopper is charged for shipping.

It’s the latter.

  • When vendors are eligible for fulfilment, they don’t have to set up shipping methods. Because they’d be using only the shipping methods set up by the marketplace.
  • The customer selects a signle shipping method (from the list provided by the markeplace owner) for all the vendors that have fulfillment. And then the customer is charged only once.
  • Shipping methods with realtime rate calculation use the marketplace’s address as origin.
  • Pick-up from store uses the pickup points that belong to the marketplace.

Did I understand it correctly that you’d like to have an option for vendors to still offer pickup from their own locations, even when they use fulfilment?
