Nope. Resellers are there to further their own business.
You may get additional service/installations however if you have licensing issues, you can’t talk to CS. Helpdesk credits I believe are provided by the reseller(s)?
A reseller will assign a license they have previously purchased to you and usually turn support back over to cs-cart. You get 15 credits of support when buying from a reseller. Not sure how many support credits you get buying directly. But I think it’s more.
However, most resellers are (as Jesse said) more interested in your satisfaction so you’ll come to them for other products or services. Hence you may find that you get bettter overall service (and usually a phone number) from a reseller. But they also may not be able to answer all your questions directly.
Benefits and compromises… And usually a better price.
