Multi Currency

Hi everybody,

I have a problem with multi currency. The Case like this :

Doing bussiness in Indonesia,at least we have to use 2 currency, USD and Indonesia Rupiah because we have 2 kinds of categories product, “Imported product” and “Local Product”

Imported product which we bought with USD and Local Product we bought with Indonesia Rupiah.

So, We must have USD and Indonesia Rupiah at admin panel.

eg.

1 USD = Rp. 10.000 (indonesia Rupiah) ===> Currency rate

If we have 6 products which 3 products are use in USD and 3 products in Rupiah, so in product list :

  1. AAAAAA = USD 2 (Rp. 20.000)
  2. BBBBBB = USD 4 (Rp. 40.000)
  3. CCCCCC = USD 5 (Rp. 50.000)

These 3 products which are import products

  4. DDDDDD = USD 1 (Rp. 10.000)
  5. EEEEEE = USD 3 (Rp. 30.000)
  6. FFFFFFF = USD 6 (Rp. 60.000)

These 3 products are Local Products

Now, if rate change from 1 USD = Rp. 10.000 to 1 USD = Rp. 15.000 so after we change the currency rate from 10.000 to 15.000, so product list will be like :
  7. AAAAAA = USD 2 (Rp. 30.000)
  8. BBBBBB = USD 4 (Rp. 60.000)
  9. CCCCCC = USD 5 (Rp. 75.000)
  10. DDDDDD = USD 1 (Rp. 15.000)
  11. EEEEEE = USD 3 (Rp. 45.000)
  12. FFFFFFF = USD 6 (Rp. 90.000)

Look at these last 3 products, It should still : Rp. 10.000 - Rp. 30.000 and Rp. 60.000 Because these 3 products are local product that’s no conditional of currency rate effect.

    anybody can help ???

    Thanks

    Regards

Surely the last 4 products should be:

4. DDDDDD = USD 0.67 (Rp. 10.000)

5. EEEEEE = USD 2 (Rp. 30.000)

6. FFFFFFF = USD 4 (Rp. 60.000)

You can’t say 1 USD = 15000Rp in one product but only 10000Rp in another. You’ll have to change the USD value to reflect the correct Rp value. Or find a way to use USD as a base currency for imported products and Rp for local products.

That’s right.

But, if we have 5000 products that 2500 import products and 2500 local products, I think we have a trouble to change the USD value.

And how to use USD as a base currency for inported products and Rp. for local products ???
