Modify Search Results

Hi,
I think, by default, the search results are shown in alphabetic order. In want to show search results in the order of relevance. Either I can see the most relevant result should come up on the top and rest can be in alphabetic order, or I can have sorting dropdown options same as we have in product listing. Any guidance will be helpful.

Unfortunately, built-in search does not allow to use relevance. You can find 3rd party solutions on the marketplace.

Also please note that the default sorting can be changed on the Settings → Appearance → Product list default sorting page

Default search cannot sort by relevance. Default search uses simple MySQL search functions.
