I wish cs-cart would rebuild product grid view block functionality.
Currently in cs-cart displays Most Popular block as 6 columns x 2 rows in desktop and 2 columns and 6 rows in mobile, while most modern websites would display 2 columns and 1 row in mobile with automatic scroller / slide function. I know scroller block is available but that is not the case.
Another release that includes a NEW essential function: the AI large language models SEO llms.txt file.
I’m not able to use this NEW function though because CS-Cart’s business policy dictates that owners of Store Builder Plus don’t need AI SEO functions.
Last update included the NEW function of Videos included in the images and CS-Cart’s business policy dictated that owners of Store Builder Plus don’t need that either.
It’s disappointing. I’ve run CS-Cart for 16 years. I don’t need an Ultimate license - I don’t use multiple warehouses, and I don’t need more than one storefront. Those were the features in Ultimate that warranted the higher price for the Ultimate license.
It’s not right that Plus license holders should be shut out of the new features, just because we only run one storefront.
And it’s not right that Plus license holders should be forced to spend $3000 to upgrade their license to an unnecessary Ultimate license JUST TO GET NEW FEATURES THAT ALL CS-CART STORES SHOULD RECEIVE.
For the first time in 16 years, I’m looking at other ecommerce platforms.
And CS-Cart should update their product comparisons to include these new omissions from the Plus license. The current comparison shows SEO Tools as being equivalent between all licenses and makes no mention of large language models support being excluded from Plus, or the new Video Feature being excluded from the Plus license.
