We originally had version 4.3.9 and it had a delivery option the customer selected local delivery to various destinations and at varying rates. Nowhere can we find such ability in 4.20

Hi, to point you to the right setup, could you clarify what exactly the you did in 4.3.9? Two things are easy to mix up:

  1. The shipping rate was calculated automatically from the customer’s address (country / state / city / zip), with a different rate per area. This still exists in 4.20 out of the box: Shipping & taxes > Destinations to define the areas, then a manual Shipping method with a separate rate per destination.

  2. Actively picked a local delivery zone or a pickup point at checkout (for example on a map). This is handled in 4.20 by the newer Geomaps and Warehouses add-ons, which were not in the older version.
