Is brain****.js an actual file from cs-cart????

Note: The stars represent the word “F U C K”

Okay, this file must have existed in my previous version as now I have upgrade to 2.0.13 I have a list of files to marked as fixed but noticed the peculiarly name file in lib/editarea/reg_syntax/brain****.js

So just wanted to check that this is a cs-cart file and their delevoper realised that the to write the code was a total brain **** so they labelled it brain****.js or this is from someone sinister?

The contents of the file are:

editAreaLoader.load_syntax[“brain****”] = {

‘DISPLAY_NAME’ : ‘Brain****’

,‘COMMENT_SINGLE’ : {}

,‘COMMENT_MULTI’ : {}

,‘QUOTEMARKS’ : {}

,‘KEYWORD_CASE_SENSITIVE’ : true

,‘OPERATORS’ :[

‘+’, ‘-’

]

,‘DELIMITERS’ :[

‘[’, ‘]’

]

,‘REGEXPS’ : {

‘bfispis’ : {

‘search’ : ‘()(\.)()’

,‘class’ : ‘bfispis’

,‘modifiers’ : ‘g’

,‘execute’ : ‘before’

}

,‘bfupis’ : {

‘search’ : ‘()(\,)()’

,‘class’ : ‘bfupis’

,‘modifiers’ : ‘g’

,‘execute’ : ‘before’

}

,‘bfmemory’ : {

‘search’ : ‘()([<>])()’

,‘class’ : ‘bfmemory’

,‘modifiers’ : ‘g’

,‘execute’ : ‘before’

}

}

,‘STYLES’ : {

‘COMMENTS’: ‘color: #AAAAAA;’

,‘QUOTESMARKS’: ‘color: #6381F8;’

,‘bfupis’ : ‘color: #4455ee;’

,‘bfmemory’ : ‘color: #DD00DD;’

}

}

};

its NOT a CS file.

So why does the upgrade center recognise it and show changes made to the file between versions?

It means that the file is being included in the package from cs-cart…

I just checked a package 2.0.11 that I got direct from cs-cart and the file exists there too!

I just check 2.0.11 and 2.0.14, one of these I got from cs-cart and they also have the brainF U C K.js file…

So whats going on?

Erm… I got 2.0.13 package from Martfox, it exists there too!

So why is it in all the packages?

It’s not malacious, just a term

I stand corrected. CS responded and said

“brain**** is a programming language”

Sorry for the confusion.

It’s default file in EditArea package - syntax highlighter for the programming language “Brainfuck”

Jesse, Et - you are so rapid :slight_smile:

Hi Zeke, this is not professional at all, I highly suggest removing this file and/or figuring out a way to rename it, even the free carts don’t go this low, let’s keep CS Professional, in addition the wiki site says “not suitable for practical use”, so then why is CS using it?

brain***** inefficiency and its limited input/output capabilities, are some of the reasons it is not used for serious programming. don’t listen to the liberals, listen to successful business owners who know what they are talking about, get rid of the script and find a replacement, it’s embarrassing cs would even use it - Sno

I think you are taking this too literal Sno.

If brainfuck is a programming language, you call it that.

There is no point requiring CS-Cart to change a programming term to suit a select group of people.

Welcome to the liberal politically correct ways of the USA that’s getting worse and worse day by day!

How’s that “CHANGE” working for all of yall Americans?! Not worth the dirt off of my boots if you ask me.

seriously… do we really have to get into politics here? This really isn’t a political issue. As an old fart mother, I find it is offensive. As a store owner, it’s weird and kind of funny. Do my customers see it? no? Then I don’t care.
