We moved our store from one server to another and now for some reason when adding a new image
to a new blog article this image does not appear in the blog sitemap masonry but do appear in the blog article itself.
Where might I look for a solution ? I have already checked the ownership (permission) settings.

I have tried that but to no avail.
Let me show you here what I do see when I upload an image for a newly created test product in the thumbnail box.

When you press on the thumbnail in the product admin panel the product image is shown as this example
https://i.imgur.com/kvgYqLn.pngyou will see that the image clearly is there uploaded but again in the customer store front view you will not see the image.
In the addon blog that is a built by Cart Power the issue is only with the thumbnail and not in the blog article itself where the uploaded image is clearly visible to visitors of this particular blog article but in the blog masonry layout it is not.
I guess this must be some kind of permission issue but I cannot figure out what it is.

In the config.local.php file try to change image_resize_lib value to imagick or gd and check.
Also set 777 permissions to images directory

Tried that done that... not the desired result, I am out of creativity / option to try.
Please also make sure that nothing has been changed on the server side and all required modules are installed
