iDevAffiliate - Affiliate Software package

Hi All,

Has anyone used this software package with CS-Cart? They list compatible with CS-Cart

http://www.idevdirec…tegrations.php. Submitted generic question asking how it works with CS-Cart and got reply from there support…

What you’ll do is enable the CS-Cart integration in the cart integration wizard. That will give you instructions that tell you to place provided code into this file:

/skin/[your-template]/customer/views/orders/details.tpl

There is no “hook” it’s just editing the above template file.

Any suggestions before we buy the package will be appreciated.

I've used the software and will be using it with cs-cart but not yet done that.

They'll have a bit of special code or you can use the default code on the checkout page I suspect.

Thanks for the response. As you have already used would appreciate if you can tell me

CS-Cart with affiliate add-on enabled it gives a dropdown selection for user to select “affiliate”. So this will get disabled.

Than will the user sign-in on the main cs-cart website and or will be taken from a link or? to this affiliate interface on the website?

What I am trying to understand that the software database will be standalone or integrate with cs-cart? Appreciate if you can share the process flow.

Totally separate system like this one;

It really is an advanced system, you can create all types of advertising procedures and upload banners, foldovers, email etc

I just checked on my system and here's what is says about introgation with sc-cart;

  1. Using FTP, edit this CS-Cart file: /skin/[your-template]/customer/views/orders/details.tpl.
  2. Find the following code which already exists in the file.

  3. Cut/Paste the following code into the bottom of the file.

    http://XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXx/partners/sale.php?profile=XX&idev_saleamt={include file=“common_templates/price.tpl” value=$product.display_subtotal}&idev_ordernum={$order_info.order_id}” width=“1” height=“1”>

kickoff3pm,

Thanks for taking time to share the details. So you would suggest that it is worth investment? One question about making links & banners for store products…

currently as it is integrated in the cart, the products are pulled from the DB

with this standalone version how is the link created for a product with affiliate ID? Can you share few examples. What is looking is that the affiliates will just add for example .xyz Domain Names | Join Generation XYZ and will work just as a link to track?

TIA

Well it's a lot more advanced the the one in cs-cart.

The clicks are tracked as people visit, the only use of the tracking code is where they came from.

I've found it very good, I have about 45 affiliates but you do need to create the banners. Idev do regular discounts so if your not in a hurry I'm sure I'll get a pound for xmas soon. I have version 6, it's on v7.1 now so can't say it's it better but I think $99 is good value for what you get.

You can also use it for more then one site, I use it on two sites.

Thanks, this really helps.

Can you create affiliate links to other sites? My issue is that I sell everything through my CS-Cart Shopping Cart but also have 10 other promo sites that are blogs, used to push people to my cart. I want an affiliate program but I want the ability to allow affiliates to add banners and ads that point to both my cart and/or blogs. With the ultimate goal of ending up at the “thank you for your order” page of my cart, is this possible with idev?
